ISTB

INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY
FOR
TAKEDA BUDO

The International Society for Takeda Budo (ISTB) was founded by Siegfried Kobilza in 1993; it has its headquarters in Vienna, Austria and is active throughout the world.

Its objective is the practice, the promotion, and the spread of Takeda Ryu Sobudo, the comprehensive martial disciplines of the Takeda style (Aikido/Aikijutsu, Iaido/Iaijutsu, Jodo/Jojutsu, Jukempo/Kempojujitsu, Kendo/Kenjutsu, Jujitsu, Shugijutsu, and Shurikenjutsu) as taught by Siegfried Kobilza under the designation Takeda Ryu Kobilza Ha. This budo practice is intended to promote the positive development of the society’s members, and also, friendly relations between all members.

The ISTB representatives and their students are entitled to be instructed in Takeda Budo and to participate in all ISTB events.

All ISTB members are obliged to pay the respective fees punctually and to promote the ISTB’s interests in the best possible way and to avoid everything by which the ISTB’s reputation could be impaired or the attainment of its objectives en-dangered.

In the case of behavior inconsistent with budo spirit or that runs counter to the interests of the school or the rules or goals of the ISTB, or also in the case of dishonorable behavior or of offenses against individual members, the person concerned can be excluded from the ISTB.
