The International Championship for Takeda Budo 2018 hosted 35 

participants from 7 nations. Each of the contestants started in minimum 5-6 out of 8 disciplines which imprexxively reflects that ISTB live the sobudo idea as developed and represented by the ISTB with the goal of bringing out well educated, universal budoka who have gained a high proficiency in many different budo disciplines.

In spite of all the trophies that have been awarded to the champions, the winning of a trophy is never the main objective of an istb tournament. For an istb budoka the contest is not an end in itself, it is and remains an exercise by which you can improve your capabilities and gain experience. Ist an integrated part oft he training.
